​TGL will bring out its marquee golfers when its third season tees off with a doubleheader against the NFL on Sunday, Dec. 27.The two opening matches will include the debut of Brooks Koepka and Motor City Golf Club (Detroit) vs. Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf at 1 p.m. on ESPN. That match will be followed by Tiger Woods and his Jupiter Links Golf Club vs. the defending champion Los Angeles Golf Club in a rematch of last season’s title match at 3 p.m. on ABCWoods, who last played competitive golf in the TGL final in March, could be seeing his first action on the golf course in the TGL opener unless he decides to compete with his son, Charlie, in the PNC Championship in Orlando the weekend before. TGL had solid ratings a year ago on opening day against the NFL for the first time, earning a rating 30 percent higher than the league’s average for its first season.
