Another day has passed, and the Tennessee Titans are one day closer to the start of training camp, and Titans Wire is continuing our positional breakdown.Much like the first two positions we’ve covered, the tight end position appears to have its foundation in place, but will likely see a heated battle to round out the depth chart and establish some role players.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSecond-year tight end Gunnar Helm appears poised to take his game to a new level and build upon his promising rookie season. Entering camp, Helm is penciled in as the starter, and unless there is some type of surprise, he should remain there. Athletic and with size, he has the versatility teams look for, and he has a chance to develop into an outstanding safety blanket for Cam Ward.Tennessee brought in Daniel Bellinger as a free agent, and he should be a solid complement to Helm and be a veteran presence to help him develop. Coming over with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll gives him a shot to step in early and make an impact. After Helm and Bellinger, the Titans have a solid mix of players battling for depth roles and roster spots heading into camp.Tennessee drafted versatile tight end Jaren Kanak late in the 2026 NFL Draft, and he brings an intriguing skill set to the building. A former linebacker, he is a developmental prospect with upside after one season at the position, and his defensive experience should give him a boost in special-teams competition..Kylen Granson, David Martin-Robinson, and Joel Wilson round out the early depth chart and will be battling Kanak early on. At this stage, Granson would seem to have the inside track, but there is a lot of time before the start of the regular season. This article originally appeared on Titans Wire: Titans training camp preview: Gunnar Helm to lead tight end group
