There has been plenty of attention surrounding Notre Dame’s pursuit of a 2028 quarterback, with its top target making a series of significant moves in recent days. After Trey Tagliaferri chose Oklahoma, the Irish still have one remaining quarterback prospect with an offer, Lukas Prock, who has now become the primary focus of chatter around the program. Prock has spoken very highly of Notre Dame lately, and it appears he could commit sooner than initially expected.
With that context in mind, Prock revealed his top five on Saturday afternoon via On3’s Hayes Fawcett: Notre Dame, Indiana, Michigan, Florida, and Ohio State. At this stage, it seems the Irish, Buckeyes, and Wolverines are all in the mix as the leading contenders to land him.
Prock turned heads with a dominant sophomore season. He completed 73.1 percent of his 309 pass attempts for 4,330 yards, throwing 41 touchdowns against just seven interceptions, according to MaxPreps. In a high-profile matchup against IMG Academy, he completed 74.3 percent of his passes for 346 yards, though he did not record a touchdown and threw two interceptions in that game.
As one of the top pocket passers in high school circles, Prock is ranked as the No. 69 overall prospect and the No. 6 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite. The Notre Dame program would obviously present a compelling opportunity for him, and many around the program are hopeful that Prock will see everything Notre Dame has to offer and decide to commit.
