Transfer rumour roundup: Arsenal Kenan Yildiz bid brewing; Man United eye Adam WhartonToday’s transfer talk includes Arsenal’s alternative to Vinicius Junior, and Manchester United’s next target for their midfield rebuild.Arsenal are preparing a move forJuventus winger Kenan Yildiz, as the Gunners pivot from Vinicius Junior. The latter’s new deal at Real Madrid has ended Arsenal hopes of a statement signing, with Yildiz now in their sights. Though Juventus have said publicly that the 21-year-old is untouchable, La Stampa claim an offer above £86m could be considered.Manchester United have acquiredAndrey Santos and Youri Tielemans for their midfield this summer, but the Red Devils remain eager to add another. Caught Offside claim that Adam Wharton remains a target for Michael Carrick, with Chelsea also admirers of the Crystal Palace midfielder. However, Wharton’s whopping price tag of £86m has prevented negotiations from progressing.Atletico Madrid continue to shut the door on interest in Julian Alvarez. Atleti have fought off Real Madrid and Barcelona successfully so far this summer, with Diego Simeone adamant that the Argentine is not for sale. Speaking last month, Atletico president, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, insisted that the only way to sign Alvarez this summer would be to activate his €500 million (£428.5m) release clause.Sticking with Atletico, the Spanish side are pushing to signCristian Romero from Tottenham Hotspur. Mundo Deportivo claim Romero is ‘waiting to see’ if Barcelona make a move.Over in Italy, Romelu Lukaku could be set to become the latest big name to head to Turkey. Fenerbahce are in talks to sign the Belgian from Napoli, with Lukaku having agreed a two-year deal in Istanbul. Finally, Crystal Palace andEverton are in talks over a swap deal involving Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil. The Times claim talks are underway, as Palace aim to resurrect their failed January move for McNeil. Johnson joined Palace in January but has endured an unsuccessful spell in South London.
