Out of the 257 selections made in the 2025 NFL draft and all the undrafted free agents who either made a 53-man roster or are fighting to earn a role, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travis Hunter is one of 10 players from that class who are under the most pressure in 2026.PFF’s Bradley Locker recently constructed this top 10 list, highlighting the Year 2 players that he believes are “under extra scrutiny.”AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOf course, it’s not a surprise that Hunter was picked. For one, he was the second overall pick, and with that comes high expectations. But two, he’s attempting to play both ways, which is going to garner a lot more attention.”Given that Hunter was viewed as a transcendent prospect, the reality is that it may never be completely possible to fully satisfy pre-draft expectations,” wrote Locker. “But as he recovers from his knee injury, Hunter will need to either assert more consistent dominance at corner or become more efficient as an offensive weapon in order to justify the Jaguars’ significant draft trade-up. Even with a talented roster returning, Jacksonville will rely on the former second overall pick to play like a game-changer this season.”Just as it looked like Hunter was about to break out on offense last season, he suffered a season-ending knee injury following a 100-yard performance against the Rams.Reports suggest that Hunter is on track to be available for training camp, although a ramp-up period may be required initially before he is a full go.To stay sharp while rehabbing, Hunter has spent his share of time in the Jaguars’ virtual room to get mental reps at both wide receiver and cornerback. He’s also bulked up this offseason as well.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementGM James Gladstone and Liam Coen have made it crystal clear that Hunter will continue to play both ways. That said, the expectation is that his role on defense will increase this season compared to last, with him being a projected starter opposite of Montaric Brown.ESPN’s Ben Solak is “very bullish” on Hunter’s future at the cornerback position, while on offense, Hunter offers another playmaking presence. This article originally appeared on Jaguars Wire: Travis Hunter among Year 2 players under most pressure, says analyst
