President Donald Trump waves to the crowd following Spains victory of Argentina during the FIFA World Cup 2026 final between Argentina and Spain at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in East Rutherford, NJ.The company behind the “Enhanced Games” is starting down the barrel of a massive financial loss. According to a report from Front Office Sports, Enhanced Group, which is backed by billionaire investor Peter Thiel and Donald Trump Jr.’s investment firm, “posted a net loss of $61.9 million on revenue of $17.7 million” last week after its debut event in May.The company has attributed the massive loss to the inaugural Enhanced Games, which took place in Las Vegas and allowed competitors to take performance-enhancing supplements, the costs associated with its special purpose acquisition company merger, and a clinical trial for one of its supplements. In a press release, Enhanced Group said that the results “reflect an intentional decision to invest heavily in its inaugural Enhanced Games, as the foundational platform for both its sports business and as a customer acquisition engine for its performance medicine platform.”The staggering $62 million figure is over double the $30 million that TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer confirmed the UFC White House card ended up losing.Although Enhanced Group’s cofounder and CEO Max Martin has said that groundwork is being laid for the second annual Enhanced Games next year, official details have yet to be announced.Leading up to the inaugural Enhanced Games, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said they were “being done purely for the entertainment and shock value, with no bearing on the long-term health of the athlete,” while the World Anti-Doping Agency called them “dangerous and irresponsible.”Despite the financial woes and intense scrutiny surrounding the Enhanced Games, Martin is maintaining confidence that they will become a “globally recognized sports brand” that is the “only organization to have successfully conducted a medically supervised enhanced sporting event in history.”The post Trump family sports investment loses $62 million appeared first on The Comeback: Today’s Top Sports Stories & Reactions.
