And that included shortstop Kaelen Culpepper. The No. 29-ranked prospect is essentially being asked to help a team clinch a playoff berth in what is his first taste of big-league action. Not every young player can handle such a responsibility, but this one looked quite comfortable in his MLB debut on Friday night.Culpepper launched a 390-foot home run off Milwaukee Brewers left-handed pitcher Shane Drohan in the top of the fourth inning for his first official hit in The Show. He caught the eye of new Twins starting pitcher Dean Kremer, who was being interviewed during the broadcast at the time.
