The 2026 Penn State roster has finally rounded into form after two key defensive additions in the Class of 2026 enrolled for the summer. While Penn State’s Class of 2026 is relatively small with only 15 players, they will still be relied upon to fill out what looks to be a deep, transfer-heavy roster in Matt Campbell’s first season coaching in Happy Valley. One of the key players in the class, Elijah Reeder, is one of the two defensive reinforcements who joined up with the team this month. Campbell has been known to describe him as the “hidden gem” of the recent recruiting class as a four-star prospect out of New Jersey. Initially set to commit to Iowa State, Reeder has been one to follow for passionate Nittany Lions fans. At 6-6, 210, he may not be the current breed of player Penn State wants in their front, but the upside could be massive.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJoining him amongst late enrollees is linebacker Keian Kaiser, another underrated member of the recruiting class. Much like Reeder, he is in a bit of a tough spot due to the talent at the linebacking position that the Nittany Lions now possess. Still, he has highly similar traits to players such as Caleb Bacon and Cael Brezina, so he could be someone to look out for in the future. Plus, as a three-sport athlete in high school, Kaiser is no stranger to commitment. Don’t be surprised if he suddenly becomes a household name next season in a much more expanded role. The other two players joining Reeder and Kaiser as late enrollees are punter Lucas Tenbrock and offensive lineman Pete Eglitis. This article originally appeared on Nittany Lions Wire: Two key defensive 2026 prospects join football roster
