UCLA basketball announces Max Feldman as their new general manager

   ​It’s been a successful past couple of weeks of UCLA Bruins basketball. UCLA landed a potential star in Nikola Kusturica, giving the Bruins a teenage phenom for the next two seasons. Following the addition of Kusturica, UCLA announced some changes to the team’s staff.UCLA announced on Wednesday that Max Feldman will take over as the team’s general manager, with Peyton Mortellite and Trey Doty stepping into player development and front office roles.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFeldman, Mortellite and Doty will all try to help head coach Mick Cronin restore UCLA back to the forefront of college basketball after a few quiet seasons since joining the Big Ten Conference. The Bruins didn’t have the flashiest offseason, but the addition of Kusturica gives UCLA fans plenty to watch for this season.The Bruins made several, quiet, but quality additions in the transfer portal this offseason, which is just the first glimpse of Feldman as UCLA’s GM. He’s not a new face to the program, being promoted from his previous role of assistant general manager.“College basketball continues to witness an ever-evolving landscape, and it’s vital for us to have someone as talented and well-connected as Max to help oversee our roster management and player retention efforts,” Cronin said in the team’s release. “Max continues to impress our coaching staff with his knowledge of players, talent identification, and relationships in general across our industry.”Cronin also shared high praise for Mortellite and Doty.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement“Obviously, we have a lot of familiarity with Trey, as he’s a former student manager.
