UFC 329’s best betting props, parlays and picks | McGregor vs. Holloway 2

By admin — In News — July 9, 2026

UFC 329 is live this Saturday, July 11, 2026, from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will stream exclusively on Paramount+. The main event needs little introduction: it’s a highly anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway, a 13-year-in-the-making clash that will take place at Welterweight rather than Featherweight. This marks McGregor’s first appearance since 2021, and the lead-up to this fight week feels markedly different from past McGregor cycles.
The co-main event features Benoit Saint Denis squaring off against Paddy Pimblett in the Lightweight division. Completing the stacked main card are Cory Sandhagen versus Mario Bautista, Brandon Royval facing Lone’er Kavanagh, and King Green taking on Terrance McKinney. The prelims are strong as well, headlined by Robert Whittaker versus Nikita Krylov. Additional bouts include Luke Riley versus Kai Kamaka III, Cody Garbrandt versus Adrian Yanez, and the debut of Gable Steveson, who fights Elisha Ellison. The early prelims will feature Tracy Cortez versus Wang Cong, with Damian Pinas versus Cesar Almeida also in action.
As always, there’s plenty to bet on, and odds for all the fights are available below. McGregor returns on Saturday night at almost 38 years old, stepping back into the MMA arena after a five-year hiatus. It’s been a decade since he defeated Eddie Alvarez to become the sport’s first-ever champ-champ; the moment suggested he might dominate MMA for years to come. The Mayweather exhibition fight followed, then a string of controversial and turbulent events, including two high-profile stoppage losses to Dustin Poirier, the most recent of which featured a devastating leg fracture for McGregor and a bitter moment in which McGregor allegedly threatened Poirier’s family. It hasn’t been an easy path back to the cage.
Max Holloway, by contrast, remains one of the sport’s most beloved figures. The Hawaiian is known for his exciting, relentless style, consistent winning ability, and a personality that fans often find relatable outside the cage. Holloway is 34 and last fought in March, when Charles Oliveira grounded him for five rounds in a fight that many considered a mark of Holloway’s resilience rather than a decline. Prior to that, Holloway captured the so-called BMF title by defeating Poirier in Poirier’s retirement bout, a highlight reel moment that solidified his status in the sport’s history.
Given the circumstances, I’m backing Holloway to win. The weight-class switch to Welterweight is a factor, but it’s less about weight and more about ring-rust and motivation. McGregor’s star power is undeniable; he has the charisma and the track record to pull off big moments, but the five-year layoff, the injuries, and the distractions outside the cage raise questions about whether he can return to the form that once made him the sport’s biggest draw. Holloway, meanwhile, has remained active and relentless, showcasing a style that has consistently tested top contenders at every level.
From a strategic standpoint, Holloway’s approach should exploit McGregor’s expected slower pace and potential timing issues after such a long absence. Holloway’s pressure, volume, and cardio could wear McGregor down, especially if McGregor is not fully ramped up in training for a long-awaited return. If McGregor can land the kinds of clean, powerful shots that once defined his nights, he could still alter the trajectory of the bout with a single moment. But Holloway’s consistency, durability, and proven ability to push fights to decision or finishters give him a tangible edge in my view.
In short, Holloway’s last stretch of performances demonstrates ongoing improvement and adaptation, even as McGregor’s legend looms large. The Welterweight frame introduces new variables, but Holloway’s pace, volume, and resilience feel well-suited to test a returning legend who has to prove his sharpness after years away. If you’re looking for the pick with the most plausible path to victory given the current form, Holloway is the safer bet, while McGregor remains the risk-reward option that could still turn the night in dramatic fashion.
