​The North Carolina Tar Heels fell one game short of capturing their first-ever College World Series title. Per Inside Carolina, pitcher Folger Boaz has opted to return to North Carolina for his senior season rather than pursue a professional baseball career. Scott Forbes and his staff get a boost to their pitching staff with an arm that is experienced.The left-handed pitcher hails from Pilot Mountain, North Carolina and while he didn’t appear on many mock drafts, he was considered an intriguing pitcher. It was also thought he would try to land with a team as an undrafted free agent. In 2026, Boaz served as UNC’s third weekend starter and appeared in 18 games, starting 15 of them.
