On Monday morning, Rivals released an updated Rivals300 ranking for the 2027 cycle, revealing 23 five-star prospects, with five earning five-star status from Rivals for the first time. The update also showed a broad swath of moves among many prospects, most of whom are already committed, as they shift up and down the board. This upheaval has produced some minor changes in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings: the top tier remains intact, but a few programs have nudged up or down a notch or two within the top 25. Texas A&M continues to hold the No. 1 spot, as expected.
Here is the current snapshot of the team recruiting rankings for the 2027 cycle, following the latest Rivals300 release. The rankings are calculated using the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that incorporates data from all major recruiting outlets. Texas A&M has 26 total commits, with 5 five-stars, 14 four-stars, and 7 three-stars. Their top commit is offensive tackle Mark Matthews, ranked No. 5 nationally (No. 1 at the OT position).
Although the Rivals300 shows a slightly lower standing for some of Texas A&M’s top commits compared to the broader industry view, the overall haul remains elite as it heads to College Station. Matthews has ascended to Rivals’ No. 2 overall prospect. The Aggies also added four-star linebacker Mikahi Allen recently, bringing their total to 19 blue-chip players. Also among their standouts are five-star safety Kamauri Dorsey and five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, both rated No. 1 at their respective positions. In total, Texas A&M features 11 players who are top-100 prospects according to industry rankings.
Notre Dame does not trail far behind, with 22 total commits and no fewer than four five-star recruits this cycle—the most among programs. Defensive lineman David Folorunsho is an industry top-40 recruit who sits at No. 9 overall in Rivals. Folorunsho teams with five-star EDGE Abraham Sesay to form a formidable pass-rush duo, while offensive linemen Oluwasemilore Olubobola and five-star interior lineman Albert Simien anchor the trenches. This haul could mark a landmark class for Marcus Freeman and the Irish.
In the top tier, Notre Dame features 20 total commits, including three five-stars, 13 four-stars, and four three-stars. Their top commit is cornerback Donte Wright, ranked No. 10 nationally and No. 2 at the cornerback position. Miami made notable gains in the Rivals300, reinforcing what appears to be the strongest class in the ACC. Wright jumped to No. 4 nationally, while five-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant flipped from an SEC program to join the Hurricanes in Coral Gables. Four-star quarterback Israel Abrams sits as the No. 4 passer in the new Rivals300 and could push for five-star status with a strong senior season. The Hurricanes hold 24 total commits, including one five-star, 15 four-stars, and eight three-stars, with Wright as their top commit at No. 22 nationally (No. 5 at WR).
Two major receivers have helped Oregon surge into the top three of the team rankings, driven by a pair of high-profile commitments that boosted the Ducks’ stock in this update. The revised Rivals300 and the resulting shifts in class composition have moved Oregon into a prominent position among the nation’s elite programs, underscoring the program’s recent momentum and recruiting strategy.
