The 2026 college football season is nearly here, and USC is gearing up for fall camp with an exciting update this week about the annual Salute to Troy season kickoff rally on campus. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 21, eight days before the Trojans open the season at the Coliseum against San Jose State. In addition to USC’s players and coaches, the celebration will feature appearances by Traveler and The Spirit of Troy, along with a selection of food and drinks for attendees.
This year’s Salute to Troy will also mark milestone anniversaries for two storied USC squads. It will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1976 team, which launched the era of legendary Trojans head coach John Robinson, and the 25th anniversary of the 2001 squad, which introduced Pete Carroll as the Trojans’ head coach. The evening will also include the traditional presentation of USC’s Marv Goux and Bob Chandler awards, continuing a long-standing Salute to Troy tradition.
