​SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Lake View Chiefs bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 35-24 non-district win against previously undefeated Pecos last Friday in a homecoming showdown at San Angelo Stadium.Both teams are now 3-1.The Chiefs got off to a blistering start with all five touchdowns in the first half, and held off the pesky Eagles down the stretch.Lake View hits the road this week to face longtime rival Big Spring, a former district foe, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.The Chiefs have three more non-district games before opening District 3-4A Division I play at home against Plainview on Oct. 23.Click on the video above to hear what Lake View head coach Hector Guevara had to say at Media Day on Tuesday.Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
