​MADISON, S.D. (KELO) – The Legion ‘B’ Playoffs continued Saturday evening from Madison, with Volga Post 114 and Madison Post 25 both advancing in the double elimination tournament. Volga Post 114 4, Groton Post 39 3Wyatt Hardt through a complete game on Friday for Post 114 against Dell Rapids, allowing just one run in his seven innings of work. On Saturday, Hardt didn’t take long to once again insert his name into the box score, as he crushed a bases loaded triple in the top of the first inning.Groton had a chance to bring the game closer down 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning with nobody out and the bases loaded. Damon Uecker, however, struck out three straight Post 39 batters, holding Volga lead at three. Post 39 would cut the lead to one, but were unable to complete the comeback, losing 4-3.Madison Post 25 9, Parkston Post 194 2Both teams scored one run in the first inning, however, scoring became hard to come by through the middle innings. Quincy Kurtz evened the game up for Madison in the bottom half of the first, but Casyn Crabtree was the real powerhouse for Post 25. He struck out four batters through the first three innings, with the two runs being the only blemish on his night.
