The poll closes on Sept. 17 at noon.Gabe Clark, Andrews: Clark had a hat trick in a 4-0 win vs. Murphy.TK Davis, Asheville High: Davis recorded the game-clinching interception in a 38-35 win vs. Asheville School. Rion Coadwell, Brevard: Coadwell had a hat trick in a 6-1 win vs. West Henderson.Jose Chavez, Enka: Chavez ran for 133 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and completed a pass for 48 yards and a touchdown in a 47-0 win vs. Cherokee.Ace Smith, Hendersonville: Smith caught six passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-35 win vs. Erwin. Jay’ron Moore, McDowell: Moore completed 13 of 22 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 182 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries in a 62-41 win vs. Avery County. Damon Young, Smoky Mountain: Young intercepted three passes in a 33-7 win vs. Pisgah.Benjamin Frederick, Robbinsville: Frederick finished first in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 16:48.40 in the Keith Payne Memorial Invitational.Zachary Huber is a high school sports reporter for the Hendersonville Times-News.
