West Ham forward emerges as a leading transfer target for Manchester United

West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville is emerging as a leading transfer target for Manchester United, according to Sky Sports News. United still view midfield as their top priority this summer, but they are also looking at options to bolster their attack. Michael Carrick’s side are among several clubs monitoring Summerville, though any potential deal would hinge on Marcus Rashford’s situation. Rashford is set to return to Old Trafford after his post-World Cup break and is keen to rejoin Barcelona, but the Spanish club only wants a loan, which United will not agree to. Summerville impressed for the Netherlands at the World Cup 2026, scoring two goals and providing two assists in four appearances as the Oranje exited in the round of 32 on penalties to Morocco. For West Ham last season, the 24-year-old contributed nine goals and assists in 31 Premier League games, but the club’s relegation to the Championship has left his future uncertain. West Ham could lose several top players this summer, with Mateus Fernandes nearing a move to Tottenham Hotspur after an £85 million fee was agreed. Summerville, contracted at the London Stadium until 2029, could still be sold for a lucrative offer.
