This year, baseball is completely eliminating the clock. Hitters will get 20 swings in Round 1, 15 swings in Round 2, and 15 in the final round. If a player homers on their last swing in any round, they get to keep going until they don’t homer. There are no brackets in the opening round, and there is no bonus round.The 2026 field includes some familiar faces to the derby, including 2018 winner and Bryce Harper of the host team Phillies and 2025 runner-up Junior Caminero of the Rays. The four players with the highest total of homers advance to the semifinals. Ties in the first round will be broken by the longest home run distance.
