What You Need to Know for the 2026 MLB Draft: Guardians Edition

   ​The MLB Draft for this year will take place on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12. Coverage begins at 1 PM Eastern Time on NBC and Peacock on Saturday, with rounds 1 through 3 scheduled to be completed on opening day. On Sunday, NBC and Peacock will carry rounds 4 through 20 starting at 1 PM ET. Both days will feature live coverage on MLB Network and MLB.com as well. The MLB Futures Game is set for Sunday, beginning at 9 AM Pacific / 12 PM ET, and will also be broadcast on NBC. The Home Run Derby airs Monday night at 8 PM ET on Netflix, followed by the All-Star Game at 8 PM ET on Tuesday.
Kicking off the weekend’s festivities is Friday night’s Historically Black College/University Swingman Classic Game, taking place on July 10 at 7 PM ET, available on MLB Network and MLB.com. The Guardians’ current draft head starts place their first four selections at numbers 19, 59, 95, and 123.
