What's next for the Boston Celtics?

For most Boston Celtics fans, the concept of acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo via trade felt like a done deal on Monday, June 22. A large portion of the reporting surrounding the situation had Boston listed as the front-runners to get a deal over the line. Unfortunately for the Celtics, the Miami Heat upped their offer, and just like that, Giannis was heading to South Beach.Still, there is an upside to all of this: the trade happened so early in the summer that Brad Stevens has plenty of time to figure out what his next steps are. Boston still has the non-taxpayer mid-level-exception and a $27.1 million traded player exception. The team has tools to make some moves that will improve the current rotation.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOf course, the future of Jaylen Brown, who has been heavily discussed as the makeweight in a move for Giannis, is now a hot topic. Stevens could still look to move on from the explosive forward, should the right deal arise. Or, Boston’s front office could look to recommit to him by offering a two-year $141.9 million deal. There are options at both ends of what is a drastic spectrum.During a June 22 edition of WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show,” the hosts discussed the array of moves available to Stevens and the Celtics front office in the coming months. They touched on Brown’s situation with the franchise, along with sharing their thoughts on what the future might hold in store for him.You can watch the full discussion by clicking on the embedded video above.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWatch or listen to the “Celtics Chronicle” podcast on:YouTube: https://bit.ly/3QnlPcSSpotify: https://bit.ly/40JRevfApple: https://apple.co/45sAUBGSubstack: https://bit.ly/3WoA0CfThis article originally appeared on Celtics Wire: What’s next for the Celtics?      Read More Feedzy
