It is a deceptively loaded seven days: an elimination race at the meanest half-mile in NASCAR, a national-event drag race at a track that has never held one, a Belgian collection going out entirely without reserve, and roughly 300 cars sitting in a Colorado field waiting for somebody to start bidding. Tonight. Pits at 2 p.m. MT, grandstands at 5, hot laps at 6:30, and a 35-lap feature paying $12,000 to win on a quarter-mile semi-banked clay bullring. Twenty-three cars entered.The hook is simple: the Outlaws have not raced in Colorado in about a decade. Reserved seats run $40 advance, adult general admission $35, kids 6-12 are $10, under five free, pit passes $50.
