It’s the first standard contract for the 27-year-old center, who spent the last two seasons on a two-way deal with OKC. Carlson averaged 5.8 points and 3 rebounds in 11.6 minutes throughout 42 games last season on 52.7% shooting from the field (36% from deep). He’ll provide big man depth for a Portland team that seemingly has its center of the future in Donovan Clingan, along with Robert Williams III and Yang Hansen.Ousmane Dieng: Dieng signed a three-year, $17.5 million contract with Milwaukee on June 30. It’s a sign of faith in the 23-year-old forward, who played well down the stretch of last season after being traded by OKC. Dieng averaged 11 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 26.8 minutes throughout 30 games with the Bucks on 42.3% shooting from the field (33.1% from deep). He’ll now get an opportunity to produce on a team that hit the reset button this summer by trading away Giannis Antetokounmpo.Lu Dort: OKC sent Dort to Atlanta on July 19 in a three-team trade that landed it three second-round picks. The 27-year-old guard spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Thunder, going from an undrafted player in 2019 to a 2025 NBA champion and an All-Defensive first team selection. Dort averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals last in 26.8 minutes last season on 38.5% shooting from the field (34.4% from deep). He’ll likely compete for a starting spot in Atlanta, which is an up-and-coming Eastern Conference team.Paul George:Philadelphia traded Paul George to Boston on July 1 in a deal that landed Jaylen Brown. George, a 36-year-old forward, spent two seasons with OKC from 2017-19. George averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 30.7 minutes last season on 43.9% shooting from the field (39.2% from deep). He’ll play a key role on both ends for the Celtics, who are still looking to remain competitive with a now-healthy Jayson Tatum leading the charge.Jerami Grant: Portland traded Grant to Memphis on June 29 in a deal that landed Ja Morant. The 32-year-old forward spent three seasons with OKC from 2016-19. Grant averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 29.7 minutes last season on 45.3% shooting from the field (38.9% from deep). He’ll provide a veteran presence for the Grizzlies, who are entering a new era that’s headlined by its young frontcourt duo of Cameron Boozer and Zach Edey.Al Horford: Horford signed a two-year, $14 million contract to remain with Golden State on June 25.
