The state of Ohio should feature 20 or more quarterbacks playing college football at some level in this 2027 class. Here is a look at the quarterbacks who have already committed and others who hold college offers or are drawing close looks.
R.J. Day – Columbus St. Francis De Sales | Northwestern
He’s expected to be a four-year starter, leaving with a wealth of wins and yards. A long-standing connection with the Wildcats staff helped steer him there. Not only has he been productive in his seasons, but he also performed well in high-level 7-on-7 play this offseason.
Eli Stumpf – Sunbury Big Walnut | Michigan State
Michigan State identified him early as their target in this class. A tall, athletic quarterback with strong basketball feet and a high ceiling, Stumpf has shown significant off-season improvement and delivered solid play at their summer camp. Expect a big senior year.
Max Miller – Springboro | Central Michigan
Whispers around the state suggest Miller is one of the best hidden gems at any position. Central Michigan saw his big arm and noted substantial strides this offseason. He’s primed for a strong senior year.
Kaden Estep – Cincinnati Elder | Miami (Ohio)
A standout junior year saw him fill the stat sheet as both passer and runner, and he also handles punting duties. Smart, mobile, and a gamer; he ran a 4.66-second 40-yard dash and posted a 35.6-inch vertical at Elite 11.
Colin Boff – Columbus Harvest Prep | Bowling Green
Boff has long been on radar screens. He is big, experienced, and possesses a powerful arm. With a solid list of options, Bowling Green did well to keep him inside the state under Eddie George and his staff.
LaMarques Greenwood – Cleveland Glenville | Army
A good fit for the Black Knights, Greenwood is mobile with a 4.6-second laser-torture to 40 and the arm to make all the throws. He’s also a smart student.
Grey Kegley – Gahanna Lincoln | Rhode Island
A physically strong 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback who is effective in running RPOs. He has a quick release and is comfortable throwing on the move as well as from the pocket. Rhode Island did well to land him from Ohio.
Grady Hirst – West Branch | Youngstown State
The Penguins add a solid dual-sport athlete (basketball) with size (6-2, 195 pounds). He totaled 3,244 yards of offense with 33 touchdowns in the fall and offers a blend of arm strength and touch.
Tyce Whiteman – Sheridan
At 6’4, 210 pounds with a solid arm, Whiteman can make a variety of throws. He has drawn interest from Morgan State and Morehead State, which have offered summer.
Brady Maxwell – Perrysburg
A good athlete at 6’2, 195 pounds, Maxwell was very productive last season and makes a lot of plays. Offers from UIndy and Gardner-Webb reflect his potential.
Brogan Jones – Mentor
With a 6’3, 195-pound frame, Jones was productive and efficient, showing steady improvement as a first-year starter. Wheeling has offered.
Ali Beydoun – Toledo Central Catholic
Note: For better search engine optimization, the article could mention him as a rising quarterback from Toledo Central Catholic. Beydoun brings a strong combination of size, arm strength, and playmaking ability, and he is on the radar of several programs.
