The 2026 MLB Draft is upon us, and the Florida State University baseball program once again stands to have several players selected early. This draft marks a pivotal stretch for head coach Link Jarrett and his staff as they assemble the roster for the 2027 season. Last year, the Seminoles set a program record by having 11 former players drafted, tying for the most by any team in the nation. That group was anchored by pitcher Jamie Arnold, who the Oakland Athletics chose with the No. 11 overall pick, giving FSU back-to-back top-15 selections and three in two years.
While it would be a surprise to see an FSU player drafted that high again, Wes Mendes remains a strong candidate to be selected in the later half of the first round after an outstanding junior season. High school commits Landon Thome and Kaden Waetcher could also hear their names called in the first round.
