Of Course, a lot will hinge on the quarterback position for all 32 teams, and the reality is that some teams are going to be pretty decently challenged at the game’s most important position.Some teams are going into the season with “answers” at quarterback that really just raise more questions about how those franchises are going to try to find wins. Here’s a list of the five teams in the most precarious spots at the quarterback position.5. Atlanta Falcons – Tua Tagovailoa/ Michael Penix Jr.The Atlanta Falcons are in an especially tough spot as the franchise has yet to even determine a starting quarterback. Whether veteran Tua Tagovailoa or the younger Michael Penix Jr. wins the job, both have had well-documented struggles with staying healthy, and unfortunately, in both cases, despite some flashes, both have left a lot to be desired with their play even when they are healthy.Whoever wins this job, a Super Bowl for Atlanta seems like a pipe dream at this point.Tua4. Tennessee Titans- Cam WardThe Tennessee Titans and second-year quarterback Cam Ward tend to fly under the radar, but the reality is that the former first overall pick has not been all that good since arriving in the NFL. As a rookie, Ward finished with just 3,169 passing yards and only 15 touchdowns, throwing seven interceptions.There’s still plenty of time in Ward’s career to turn things around, but as Anthony Richardson Sr. learned with the Indianapolis Colts, franchises won’t wait forever in the NFL. If Ward doesn’t take massive steps in his sophomore season, he could be asking Richardson about the best way to go about asking for a trade.3. Las Vegas Raiders- Kirk CousinsThe Las Vegas Raiders are starting a bona fide veteran Week 1 in Kirk Cousins, but it isn’t the same Cousins that led the Minnesota Vikings. After coming off a brutal Achilles injury, Cousins signed with the Atlanta Falcons, where he was ultimately unable to keep the aforementioned Michael Penix Jr. at bay.The reality is that after his injury, Cousins isn’t the same guy, and in a loaded AFC West division for a franchise that had the number one overall pick in Fernando Mendoza, it’s unlikely he’ll finish the year as the year-starting quarterback.2. Arizona Cardinals- Jacoby BrissettThe Cardinals and Kyler Murray parted ways. Now, the franchise turns to veteran Jacoby Brissett. Brissett isn’t a bad quarterback per se, but the reality is that, with the tools around him in Arizona, he is in no position to succeed, and the chances of him doing so are extremely low.Brissett is a bridge quarterback to get to the next guy, and it’s unlikely even the most optimistic Cardinals fan views him as much more than that.
