With Jaxx Chisholm Jr. back from the injured list, the Yankees are trying to figure out how Anthony Volpe fits into the picture.Volpe has hit well since coming back from Triple-A after his demotion. Shortstop belongs to George Lombard Jr., and Aaron Boone confirmed the Yankees will stick with him there during his appearance on “Talkin Yanks” on Wednesday. Chisholm will presumably go back to being the everyday second baseman.Boone noted that the Yankees are probably going to play Anthony Volpe at third base this week. Volpe had never played anything but shortstop in the big leagues until he recently came back up.
