The MLB All-Star Game heads to Philadelphia next week, coming just a week after America celebrated its 250th birthday. With the Fourth of July fireworks fading, players from across the league are turning their attention to Citizens Bank Park, where the 2026 Home Run Derby is about to light up the park just as the All-Star festivities unfold. This marks the Derby’s first time at The Bank, giving fans a chance to witness some majestic long balls in one of baseball’s most renowned home run parks. The big question isn’t merely how far the balls will fly, but which players will be among the participants.
Here’s what we know about who will participate and how much tickets will cost for those who want to attend. The T-Mobile Home Run Derby is scheduled for July 13 at Citizens Bank Park. Date: Monday, July 13. Time: 8 p.m. ET. Venue: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia. Streaming: Netflix.
Unlike many baseball events, the most coveted seats tend to be in the outfield. As of 9:30 a.m. on July 10, the third-party ticket prices looked like this: the cheapest option starts at $524 for section 418, row 14, while the most expensive seats go for $17,623 in section 105, row 3 along the right-field line. A general admission option was listed at $485, with some premium spots reaching up to $12,246 for section 225, row 36.
As of July 10, six players had committed to competing, with a total of eight sluggers slated to participate. Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper announced on Instagram that he will take part in the Home Run Derby. This marks Harper’s return to the Derby for the first time since his 2018 victory with the Washington Nationals. Harper has enjoyed a strong season, already tallying 20 home runs—tied for 14th in the majors—and driving in 57 RBIs.
On June 29, 2026, in Philadelphia, Bryce Harper celebrated a home run against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citizens Bank Park, a moment captured by photographer Eric Hartline of Imagn Images. Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero, who has 26 homers on the year and is fourth in the league, confirmed last week that he would participate for a second time. The 22-year-old slugger finished as the runner-up in the previous Derby.
New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice also confirmed his participation. Rice comes into the Derby on July 7 with 25 home runs, tied for fifth most in MLB. Kansas City Royals first baseman/outfielder Jac Caglianone was announced by MLB on July 8 as the third participant; the young slugger has 14 home runs this season and is known for his explosive hit numbers. Boston Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras was confirmed on July 8 as the fourth contestant. In his first season with Boston, the 34-year-old veteran has already hit 20 homers, matching his total from last season with the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals’ Jordan Walker was also highlighted in other coverage, aiming to bolster the Derby field and the overall excitement surrounding one of baseball’s most anticipated events.
