The Oregon Ducks are deep into the summer, and all eyes are on fall camp next month. The expectations are huge – as great as a national championship – with plenty of returning production and a healthy mix of talented young faces entering the fold.Dan Lanning’s staff has the bones of the lineup on both sides of the ball set, but there will still be some tough decisions to make this fall. The Ducks have some holes to fill after stars left during the offseason, and some of the team’s incredible depth at certain positions needs to sort itself out.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWhile the talent is there, and some of it was proven during the spring, fall camp is a different animal. Here are five position battles worth keeping an eye on when they spot the ball next month.Oregon Ducks Spring Game 2026 – Davon BenjaminIn the mix: Carl Williams IV (R-Jr.), Davon Benjamin (Fr.), Na’eem Offord (So.), Aaron Scott Jr. (Jr.)Replacing Jadon Canady won’t be easy, even with the amount of talent Lanning and Chris Hampton have to work with. After Daylen Austin transferred to Arizona, the Ducks were left without a clear-cut option, opening the door to several newcomers.Baylor transfer Carl Williams IV is probably the frontrunner right now. Williams was hampered by injuries at Baylor, but he has the size and ball skills to thrive at the nickel. The in-house option is Na’eem Offord, the former five-star defensive back who had an up-and-down freshman season. Offord has the speed to stick in the slot, and he seems to have taken a big step forward during the spring.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementA wild card to keep an eye on is Davon Benjamin. Benjamin played the nickel often in high school, and he could fit as the hybrid safety and nickel defender that the Ducks love to employ, and where Dillon Thieneman thrived last season. The Ducks have not been afraid to throw young players into big roles, but I would expect some sort of rotation throughout the season with Williams leading the pack.Oregon’s Anthony Jones Jr., left, and offensive lineman Fox Crader, right, square off during the Oregon Spring Game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene April 25, 2026In the mix: Immanuel Iheanacho (Fr.), Tommy Tofi (Fr.), Ziyare Addison (R-Fr.), Zac Stascausky (R-Fr.), Fox Crader (R-So.), Gernorris Wilson (R-Jr.), Michael Bennett III (R-Sr.)Oregon needs to replace three offensive linemen this season, including both tackles with Isaiah World and Alex Harkey off to the next level. Immediately, the likely solutions are clear. Fox Crader, who played more down the stretch last season, should fill in on the left side, and Yale transfer Michael Bennett III will slot in on the right side.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementCrader is more of a safe bet, but Bennett would be pushed. Five-star Immanuel Iheanacho arrived on campus this summer with plenty of size and equally massive expectations, and four-star Tommy Tofi looked like a capable blocker this spring. Both could move inside
