đź‘‹ Inter sale! Leao ❌ Milan, David vs Spalletti? Today’s market 🤑

On the World Cup’s opening rest day, transfer chatter surrounding Serie A is abundant, with many details unveiled by Ruben Amorim during his press conference. Let’s focus on today’s most significant developments for the league’s major clubs. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Jonathan David and Luciano Spalletti hold opposing positions: the player wishes to remain in black and white, while the coach regards him as expendable. Giovanni Carnevali’s stance is pivotal, as he aims to please Spalletti by selling David to fund the purchase of two more strikers to join Ekhator. A potential deal hinges on the Canadian’s departure.
If Ruben Amorim’s comments about Gonçalo Ramos—“I gave them a profile and they found the best one on the market, it will always be like this this summer”—hold any weight, Milan fans can now fantasize about signing an attacking midfielder regardless of the transfer fee. Among the favored options is Alajbegovic, reported by calciomercato.com to be valued around 30 million euros. In a contrasting signal, Rafael Leao has altered his Instagram bio to remove all references to Milan.
Defensively, Inter have also completed an exit: defender Christos Alexiou, born in 2005, has been loaned to AEK Athens with an option to buy and a buy-back clause. On the possibility of a longer-term stay, Yvan Maye, a 2006-born center-back, could remain with Inter. According to Luca Cilli of Sportitalia, Maye will be assessed during the preseason camp, even as multiple clubs pursue him.
Meanwhile, Napoli have shown interest in Farès Ghedjemis of Frosinone, a right winger born in 2002 who tallied 15 goals and 3 assists in Serie B last season. However, Juventus, Lille, and Monaco are also in the race. Frosinone reportedly values the player at between 10 and 15 million euros, presenting a “low-cost” option if several other targets move elsewhere.
Greenwood’s potential exit from Roma is looming after a substantial bid from Fenerbahce, prompting the Giallorossi to explore other attacking wingers. La Gazzetta dello Sport notes that Pepe and Ndoye are among the favored options. The Ivorian winger is technically appealing, though there are concerns about his age—30 could be deemed excessive. It remains to be seen what Nottingham Forest would demand for Ndoye, a profile Gian Piero Gasperini has shown interest in.
Lazio, per Pedullà, have reached an agreement with Sergi Dominguez of Dinamo Zagreb to replace the departing Mario Gila. The Biancocelesti are expected to push hard on Thursday to advance the deal: Di Marzio cites an asking price of 12 million euros, while initial offers stand at around 10 million. Despite Fabrizio Romano labeling a Fiorentina deal with Oulai as unrealistic, Sky Sport is revisiting the negotiations between Oulai and the Viola. Di Marzio notes that contact with the agents has never fully stopped, though competition for the players remains high as clubs seek the best bargains.
