Marcellus Wiley says wife lied in court filings when she accused him of raping and abusing her

Former Chargers defensive end and Los Angeles sports radio personality Marcellus Wiley has rejected explosive accusations raised by his wife, which included claims of rape and physical abuse toward her and their children. Annemarie Wiley, a nurse anesthetist and former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, filed a declaration with Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday along with her request for a temporary restraining order against her husband of 12 years. She also filed for divorce the same day.
Wiley, a former Pro Bowl player, responded on Tuesday via X, calling the allegations “baseless” and stating that he owes it to his children to tell the truth about what they have endured. He said he intended to address what he termed as lies about him and his marriage by presenting the truth about his wife and their relationship.
The temporary restraining order requires Wiley to have no contact with Annemarie and their three children, who are aged 6 to 10, and to stay at least 100 yards away from them. Annemarie Wiley was granted sole custody of the children, with no visitation rights granted to her husband. The order remains in place until a hearing scheduled for July 24.
Earlier this week, Wiley was arrested in Florida after Annemarie reported to police that he poked her in the face with his finger and threatened to kill her. The arrest affidavit notes that she told a deputy Wiley “has an unreported history of violence toward her and she was planning to divorce him when they returned home to California.” Wiley was released the following day on a $1,000 bond and could face misdemeanor domestic battery charges. An arraignment was set for August 4. He denied the allegations on Monday via X.
In her court filing, Annemarie detailed an incident she says led to Wiley’s arrest. She claimed that on Saturday he warned her to “watch how bad he was going to make things for me,” which she perceived as a threat that the abuse would worsen. During the same incident, she alleged that Marcellus pushed their ten-year-old son, Marcellus Jr., prompting her to call the police.
Annemarie Wiley’s filing allegedly outlines a pattern of physical violence, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, financial control, and intimidation that she says has persisted and escalated, with much of it witnessed by their children. The document includes four alleged rapes—one in 2012 and three more in January—and said she has endured additional physical abuse such as being struck in the face. The filing notes repeated episodes that she characterizes as part of ongoing abuse within the marriage.
The matter remains under court consideration as both parties navigate these serious accusations and the associated protective orders, custody arrangements, and potential charges.
