   ​WJHL reports that it was another crowded evening in the Appalachian League, with several teams competing on their home turf while others hit the road. On the home front, Greeneville, Kingsport, and Elizabethton hosted games, while the Johnson City Doughboys were still traveling, making a trek to Burlington to face their opponent.
In the day’s scores, Pulaski overwhelmed Elizabethton with a decisive 12-1 victory. Bluefield dominated Greeneville, cruising to a 14-0 win. In a closely contested matchup, Johnson City defeated Burlington 11-8. Danville edged Kingsport with an 11-8 win, and the high-scoring affair between two strong teams saw Burlington come out on top with an 11-11-? scoreline that reflects a tumultuous game; meanwhile, Danville’s 8-8 tie with Kingsport would require a tiebreaker to determine the winner. Across the league, action remained intense as teams battled for position late in the season, delivering numerous memorable moments for fans in the Appalachian League.
