The former NFL star, now 38, invited 16-year-old Andrew Bogetti from Ripon, California, to join him for a swing at Edgewood Tahoe Resort and spent several minutes chatting with the aspiring golfer. Bogetti admitted to PEOPLE that he was “shaking a little” while spending time with Kelce at the celebrity golf tournament on Wednesday, July 8.
The interaction began when Bogetti approached Kelce with his clubs and asked if he could take a long drive with him. Kelce was more than willing to oblige. After Bogetti took his swing, he thanked Kelce for the invitation, telling him, “Hey, that was awesome. Thank you again.” Kelce replied with encouragement, wishing him “Best of luck, man” before asking about Bogetti’s golf ambitions.
