Heading to Miami for Saturday’s FIFA World Cup match? Before you zip up your backpack and head to Hard Rock Stadium, make sure you’re prepared for the venue’s strict clear-bag policy. Today marks the second-to-last FIFA World Cup game in Miami, a Florida matchup pitting fan favorites Norway against England. If you’re buying tickets, you can find them on StubHub.
Hard Rock Stadium, renamed for the World Cup as Miami Stadium, sits at 347 Don Shula Drive in Miami Gardens, Florida. The stadium allows each person to bring one clear bag and one clutch-sized bag inside the venue. Security will conduct bag inspections using X-ray technology or by hand. The bag requirements at Hard Rock Stadium are as follows: bags must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and must not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches. Diaper bags are allowed but subject to search. In addition to one of the clear bags, fans may also carry a small clutch bag or purse that does not exceed 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Any purses or bags larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches or non-clear bags larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches are prohibited. For items that don’t meet the size or clear-bag requirements, guests can return the item to their vehicle or use a “Guest Experience Bag Check Location” near select entry gates. Bag-check costs range from $15 to $20 with no exceptions, and bag-check closes 60 minutes after gates close. It’s advised to retrieve checked items immediately after exiting the stadium campus, as Hard Rock Stadium bears no responsibility for items left beyond the daily time limit.
