Hailee Steinfeld has Josh Allen’s back as he enters his ninth NFL season with the Buffalo Bills. The pair, who tied the knot last year, welcomed their daughter Harper Haize Allen in April, marking Allen’s first year as a father. He described how Steinfeld will support him as he pursues another stretch with the team, noting that this campaign will feel “definitely gonna be different.”
“Having a supportive partner, which I do, allows me to go and work out,” Allen told E! News about Steinfeld, who stars in Sinners. “When we were back in Buffalo for OTAs, just making sure that I could go to the facility, get my work done, be with the guys and understanding what that was for.” As he chases his first Super Bowl, Allen emphasized the importance of balancing his offseason with family time, saying he’s “trying to ride the wave right now and enjoy” the moments with his wife and daughter. “Kids are ever changing, and so is your schedule,” the NFL MVP added, stressing the need to maintain a positive mindset throughout the year.
Steinfeld, whose film Sinners secured four Oscar wins at the 98th Academy Awards, has openly spoken about savoring motherhood’s early moments. In a Beau Society newsletter last month, she wrote a heartfelt letter to their daughter Harper: “Dearest Harper, I’m in awe of you. You’ve been here for only a short while now, and somehow it feels as though you’ve always been ours.” She continued, expressing a wistful joy and a sense of anticipation: “Before I was a mother, I had never understood this feeling of being so wistful and filled with excitement at the same time. I want your baby hair to stay this soft forever, but I long for the day you might ask me to braid it down your back while we’re sitting in the grass.”
Allen and Steinfeld’s relationship has grown since they began dating in spring 2023. After a year of dating, they confirmed their romance in 2024, and Allen proposed in November of that year. The couple tied the knot in May 2025, signaling a new chapter for both of them as they navigate career milestones and family life together.
The quarterback’s philosophy about the upcoming season reflects a desire to stay grounded amid high expectations. He acknowledged the inevitable changes that come with fatherhood and a demanding schedule, but he remains focused on keeping a positive mindset and enjoying the journey. As Steinfeld supports Allen from the sidelines, her public comments and personal notes suggest a strong, steady partnership that may help him stay balanced as he aims to lead the Bills to the postseason and beyond.
