​One key member of the Vancouver Canucks is up for Hall of Fame contention. Voting has opened for the 2026 Mascot Hall of Fame, and Vancouver’s beloved mascot Fin is in the running for a spot in the Hall of Fame. Fin, the Canucks’ iconic figure, is one of 11 mascots from a variety of organized sports teams nominated for this year’s class.
Among the other nominees are a notable slate of college mascots, including Buzz from Georgia Tech, Hook’Em from the University of Texas at Austin, Goldy Gopher from the University of Minnesota, Cosmo the Cougar from Brigham Young University, Purdue Pete from Purdue University, and Cocky from the University of South Carolina. In addition, two Major League Baseball mascots—The Pirate Parrot of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Mrs. Met of the New York Mets—are in contention, along with Miles from the Denver Broncos and Split from the Savannah Bananas.
Last year’s Mascot Hall of Fame class featured Toro of the Houston Texans, Sebastian the Ibis of the University of Miami, Fredbird of the St. Louis Cardinals, Blitz of the Seattle Seahawks, and SJ Sharkie of the San Jose Sharks. Other past NHL inductees include Youppi!, the Montreal Canadiens’ mascot in 2019, and Tommy Hawk of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2017.
Fans can cast their votes twice daily by visiting mascothalloffame.com or by purchasing a limited-edition T-shirt featuring the mascot they support. Designs are available through the voting period, with votes accepted until July 25, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
