STILLWATER — After serving as Chad Weiberg’s deputy athletic director since 2021, Reid Sigmon has left Oklahoma State to take a role as the senior associate director of athletics at the US Naval Academy.

Sigmon’s title also includes chief business and revenue officer, a newly created position designed to help Navy’s revenue growth and business operations.

Sigmon was hired at OSU when Weiberg was promoted to athletic director following Mike Holder’s retirement in July 2021.

Sigmon had worked with Navy athletic director Michael Kelly on the original College Football Playoff leadership team.

“I am excited for the opportunity to work again with Michael Kelly and to build upon the success of Navy athletics,” Sigmon said in Navy’s press release. “Thank you to Chad Weiberg for the opportunity to work at Oklahoma State University for the last five years.

“The opportunity to serve an institution as unique and impactful as the United States Naval Academy is incredibly meaningful.”

This move comes at a time when OSU has been restructuring its administrative structure.

In March, OSU hired Andrew Hamor in a newly created role of associate vice president and deputy athletic director for development, serving as chief revenue officer for OSU athletics.

Last month, Jesse Martin was elevated to the role of deputy athletic director and chief commercial officer, while Brakston Brock was promoted to senior associate athletic director for POSSE.
