The Eagles revealed the news of the contract extensions through a sequence of posts on their official club website today. It has been confirmed that all three players have committed to fresh terms with Crystal Palace, tying them to the club until the summer of 2028.
Goalkeeper Yañez’s extension was announced first. The 29-year-old has spent the last two seasons with Crystal Palace after transferring from Bristol City in the summer of 2024. Yañez established herself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper last season, appearing in every game in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 (WSL2) campaign.
Next to confirm was Republic of Ireland international defender Nolan’s new deal. The player joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2023 after departing from London City Lionesses. Nolan featured in 15 of the South Londoners’ matches in the Barclays WSL2 during the previous season, contributing solid defensive performances and experience to the back line.
Dutch attacker Weerden also agreed to renew with The Eagles. She has just completed her second season at Crystal Palace. The 27-year-old joined the club from Ajax, who compete in the Eredivisie Vrouwen, in the summer of 2024. Weerden enjoyed a prolific 2025/2026 campaign, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists while appearing in all 22 league games in Barclays WSL2.
Crystal Palace recently earned promotion back to the Barclays Women’s Super League at the end of the 2025/2026 season, marking their return to top-tier competition on the back of strong performances and sustained development. With these new extends, the club aims to build on its progress and reinforce its squad as they prepare for another challenging season at the highest level of English women’s football. This trio’s renewed commitments signal Crystal Palace’s ambition to compete firmly in the WSL era and establish a lasting period of success for the club.
