Brad Keselowski’s EchoPark Race Takes Early Turn After Contact With Wall

By admin — In News — July 12, 2026

Brad Keselowski’s hopes for a strong finish at EchoPark Speedway took an early hit Sunday when the RFK Racing driver brushed the outside wall on the opening laps of the Quaker State 400, now available at Walmart. Keselowski, who lined up 10th after a strong qualifying session, radioed that his No. 6 Ford had grown tight before the right-rear tire appeared to lose grip. The wall contact sent him sliding backward through the field, though the damage did not force an immediate pit stop. He stayed on track but dropped to the back of the pack as the race progressed.
The rough start carries meaningful implications for Keselowski’s playoff bid. As the field settled into the early stages, Keselowski was shown running 37th, a stark reversal from his top-10 status at the outset. As the race unfolded, he also slipped into the provisional NASCAR Cup Series points cutoff area, intensifying the pressure on his bid for a postseason berth.
There remains substantial racing left at EchoPark Speedway, offering Keselowski chances to rebound through strategic choices, caution periods, and strong long-run speed. Yet what began as a promising afternoon quickly transformed into another uphill climb after the early brush with the wall. Keselowski, who has packed focus and determination into the season, now faces the challenge of clawing his way forward and preserving playoff momentum as the Quaker State 400 continues. The event’s twists highlight how a single mishap can reshape standings and keep Keselowski in a must-push mode for the remainder of the race.
