The start of the 2026 college football season is nearly here, and the ACC will get it started this week with the 2026 ACC Football Kickoff from Wednesday to Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina.Ahead of the event, the USA TODAY Network had 10 of its writers vote on all-conference teams, preseason awards, and a predicted order of finish. Unsurprisingly, the FSU Seminoles were picked to finish 9th in the ACC.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Seminoles are coming off back-to-back losing seasons, and Mike Norvell enters the season with the hottest season in the country, which is not helped by a very tough schedule that features non-conference games against the Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Gators.FSU’s conference schedule is not easy either. The Seminoles will host the SMU Mustangs on Sept. 7 in their first ACC game of the year. October could be the most important month of the season and will likely go a long way in determining if FSU can get back to bowl eligibility. They will open the month against the Virginia Cavaliers before playing back-to-back road games against the Louisville Cardinals and Miami Hurricanes. They will then get a bye before the Clemson Tigers come to Tallahassee and look to extend their winning streak in Doak Campbell Stadium.LouisvilleClemsonVirginia TechVirginiaGeorgia TechFlorida StateNC StateWake ForestNorth CarolinaSyracuseStanfordBoston CollegeAdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFollow us @FSUWire on X (formerly Twitter) and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Florida State news, notes, and opinions. This article originally appeared on FSU Wire: USA TODAY picks FSU to finish in middle of ACC
