Junior Caminero had Tampa Bay Rans fans worried during the MLB All-Star Game last night. The 23-year-old slugger was struck in the left pinkie finger by a pitch from St. Louis Cardinals reliever Riley O’Brien, forcing him to exit in the third inning.Luckily for Caminero and the Rays, he appears to be OK. Caminero underwent X-rays after the game and they came back negative. He’s considered day-to-day, according to the Tampa Bay Times’ Marc Topkin, with the Rays season set to resume Friday against the Boston Red Sox.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementCaminero had an eventful All-Star experience in Philadelphia. He competed in the Home Run Derby on Monday, falling to eventual champion Jordan Walker in the semifinals. Then on Tuesday, Caminero grounded out and suffered the hit by pitch after starting at third base for the American League All-Stars, who won the game 4-0.For the season, Caminero is hitting .279 with 28 home runs and 59 RBI.
