   ​Today in Boston Celtics history, in 1997, the team cut Croatian big man Dino Radja to align with the vision of new head coach and President of Basketball Operations Rick Pitino, who had recently taken on both roles after unceremoniously pushing Celtics legend Red Auerbach out of the latter role.Radja had been with the Celtics for a total of four seasons after being picked up with the 40th overall selection of the 1989 NBA Draft. The reserve big man played one season with the team, appearing in 26 games, over which he logged 1.5 points and 1.3 boards per contest.It is also the birthday of ex-Boston big man Chris Mihm, who came into this world in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1979. Mihm was dealt to the team in 2003 from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
