The Tennessee Titans will officially begin training camp on July 28th when the veterans report to Vanderbilt Health Football Camp in Nashville. We’ll be previewing several position groups until then. The Titans have just four quarterbacks on the offseason roster. This offseason was all about supporting Cam Ward to become a franchise quarterback. In camp (4): Cam Ward, Mitchell Trubisky, Will Levis, Hendon Hooker.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBiggest storyline: The Titans drafted Carnell Tate at No. 4 overall and signed Wan’Dale Robinson to a$70 million contract in free agency to help support Ward. They also brought in Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator and made changes across the offensive line. Everything is about helping Ward blossom into a franchise quarterback in 2026.Most to prove: The answer is still Ward? If we analyze this from a training camp perspective, Will Levis arguably has the most to prove. Half the Titans fanbase wants to see Levis traded before the 2026 campaign begins. The other half believes he should receive an opportunity to compete for the backup job.Breakout star: It’s obviously Ward. This Mike Borgonzi-Robert Saleh regime is totally invested in Ward becoming their superstar quarterback. Backup Mitchell Trubisky is the best No. 2 the Titans have had in years, and represents a significant improvement over last year’s backup, Brandon Allen. Nonetheless, the Titans hope Ward stays healthy enough to play in all 17 games.Training camp competition: The Titans probably don’t have a competition at quarterback. Ward is obviously the starter and Trubisky was paid handsomely (two years, $10.5 million) to the backup. Levis will try to convince the Titans to keep a third quarterback, or he’ll hopefully improve his stock to generate some trade interest. Hendon Hooker is a former Tennessee Volunteers star, but doesn’t have a realistic path to the team’s 53-man roster.
