Canton hosted the first preseason game on Thursday night between the Arizona Cardinals and the Carolina Panthers in the annual Hall of Fame game.However, the countdown is on for the real action to start in September, when the regular season gets underway.The opening Sunday Night Football game on NBC Sports will be the NFL East matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.For the 14th season, Carrie Underwood is returning to perform the Sunday Night Football introduction scene on NBC Sports.However, not all fans are in favour of the new twist on the Sunday night classic.Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty ImagesNot all NFL fans love Carrie Underwood’s new Sunday Night Football songIt is a Sunday tradition for many across the United States and even across the world to tune into Sunday Night Football on NBC Sports.Underwood joined NBC’s broadcasting sequence back in 2013 and remains a key feature in their Sunday night show.A statement from NBC recently said the updated version of the song has ‘drawn inspiration from Carrie’s deep, well-documented love of rock music’.Having heard it for the very first time, not all fans were impressed. One NFL fan said: ‘Bring back Faith Hill.’‘The Screecher is back? More pregame muting!’ another fan said on X.Another fan remained unimpressed: ‘Haven’t watch that pre-game portion since she started singing that awful song.’Last season, NBC Sports reported an average of 23.5 million viewers for their weekly Sunday Night Football broadcast.One NFL fan replied: ‘Can we have other artists?
