Uzomah to officially retire from the game of football in Cincinnati.Uzomah was a big-time fan favorite in the Queen City before leaving after the 2021 season to sign with the New York Jets.During his time as a Bengal, Uzomah had many memorable plays, but he also holds quite an interesting stat that no one else has.The former Cincinnati tight end caught Andy Dalton’s final touchdown pass as a Bengal and the first touchdown pass thrown by Joe Burrow.The Dalton-to-Uzomah score occurred in the first quarter during a 33-23 victory over the Cleveland Browns on December 29, 2019. The Burrow-to-Uzomah score occurred during a 35-30 loss to the Browns on September 17, 2020.So not only did he catch both touchdown passes, he caught both touchdown passes against the same division rival. You just can’t make this up.Uzomah was a big piece of the Bengals’ success in 2021, and it is cool to see him back in town talking to guys like Burrow and others during practice.He will also be the ‘Ruler of the Jungle’ during the Bengals ‘ Week 4 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
