Clark appeared on 55 of the 74 ballots, meaning 19 voters left her outside their top five entirely.Wilson dominated the voting with 65 first-place votes and 713 points, finishing ahead of Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles and Clark’s Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell.Caitlin Clark receives just one first-place vote in WNBA MVP raceClark’s final voting breakdown included one first-place vote, six second-place votes, 20 third-place votes, 16 fourth-place votes and 12 fifth-place votes.Miles finished second with 442 points and six first-place votes, while Mitchell received two first-place votes and accumulated 287 points to take third.Clark’s fourth-place finish came after she averaged a career-high 22.3 points, 8.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds across 40 games.She also became the first player in WNBA history to average at least 20 points and eight assists across a season.Clark recorded five games with at least 30 points and 10 assists, more than every other player in WNBA history had combined before this season. She also became the first player to record 800 points and 300 assists in a single campaign.However, Wilson produced another dominant season of her own.The Las Vegas Aces star averaged 26.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.9 blocks per game while leading the WNBA in scoring and blocks per game.Her victory made Wilson the first player in league history to win three consecutive MVP awards.
