As the 2026 NFL trade deadline continues drawing closer, the Los Angeles Rams have been mentioned heavily in the rumor mill. Injuries have caused major issues for the team so far, which has led many analysts to suggest trade options to fix the problems. While the idea of Les Snead being aggressive on the trade market wouldn’t surprise anyone, there is a much colder reality.During the NFL offseason, the Rams made two big trades. They acquired cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs and swung a massive blockbuster with the Cleveland Browns to acquire pass rusher Myles Garrett. With the trade deadline on November 10, Los Angeles doesn’t have much time left to make a decision on how to approach it.Even though fans would love to see the Rams get aggressive and bring in more talent, the reality is that they don’t have much to work with in trade discussions. Snead has already gone through a lot of his trade ammunition. At the end of the day, fans should be expecting a quiet deadline from Los Angeles. That doesn’t mean the Rams will refrain from making any moves. But, the game-changing trades that take first-round or second-round draft picks to complete simply aren’t likely to happen. It’s possible Los Angeles will target a player like Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs. His trade value should be somewhere around a third-round pick. That price tag could make sense for the Rams if they decide to be aggressive.Unfortunately, the big names will not be in the budget for Los Angeles. In recent years, Snead has not valued draft picks the same as other franchises. He has focused on bringing in win-now players. That won’t change even with depleted assets.Expect to see the Rams show interest in wheeling and dealing. This time, however, they will do so with a budget in place. It would be a shock to see Los Angeles swing big by digging deeper into the future.Sean McVay has hinted that the team is hoping their trade deadline acquisitions will come in the form of players returning from injury. A couple of those names are Garrett and tight end Terrance Ferguson.Only time will tell what the Rams have in store for the deadline. But, it would be wise for fans to temper their expectations and for Los Angeles to have a relatively quiet deadline.
