The Jacksonville Jaguars cruised to an easy victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night to improve to 6-2 on the season. With the dust having settled on this game, here are the studs and duds from the Jaguars’ performance.Stud: Defense does its jobThe Jaguars have one of the better defenses in the NFL, and they were facing a UDFA quarterback making his first NFL start. As they should have, Jacksonville dominated. The Jaguars were able to contain RB Derrick Henry, holding him to under 4.0 yards per rush, while QB Joe Fagnano averaged just 3.3 yards per pass attempt. Baltimore generated just over 200 yards of offense — a large chunk of which came on one play late when the game was out of reach — only mustered 10 points, and turned the ball over three times.Dud: Missed tacklesThe Jaguars’ defenders seemed to be around the football for much of the night, but there were instances where bringing the ball carrier down wasn’t easy. According to PFF’s early tracking data, the Jaguars missed 13 tackles in this game. That said, tackling Henry and Zay Flowers is no easy task, and the missed tackles didn’t burn the Jaguars by any means, but it was a weakness.Stud: Big plays from Trevor LawrenceLawrence and the pass game have done well to generate big passing plays all season, but he and the offense have been particularly good the past two weeks. In Baltimore, Lawrence averaged 9.3 yards per pass attempt with two completions of at least 50 yards. Overall, Lawrence is operating at a high level right now.Dud: Not much from the run gameThe Ravens’ front isn’t easy to run against, but with the success that the Jaguars have had on the ground as of late, you’d like to have seen a bit more efficiency in that phase of the game. While Jacksonville ran the ball 30 times, they totaled just 77 yards, averaging under 3.0 yards per carry. This contributed to some third-down and red-zone woes.Stud: Cam LittleOn several possessions, the Jaguars’ offense made its way into Baltimore territory, but was unable to find the end zone. Fortunately, Little was there to put points on the board. On a rainy night in Baltimore, Little was 4-for-4 on field goals and hit all three extra-point attempts as well. This article originally appeared on Jaguars Wire: Studs and duds from Jaguars performance vs. Ravens
