The Baltimore Ravens quarterback, stepping in after the team’s top two signal-callers went down with injuries, was seemingly thrown to the wolves on Thursday as he struggled mightily in a 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars at M&T Bank Stadium. But at least Fagnano was aware enough of his performance to not make any excuses.“I’m not here to make excuses. We just didn’t execute. I have to play better,” the 25-year-old Fagnano said after the game, via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.Watch sports LIVE with fuboTV (free trial)Fagnano, an undrafted rookie out of the UConn Huskies football program, completed just 10 of his 18 passes for 60 passing yards against the Jaguars. He had zero touchdowns and was picked off twice, while getting sacked once. But the offense as a whole clearly had a hard time making things happen for the Ravens. Running back Derrick Henry turned 17 carries for only 57 rushing yards. Justice Hill had 85 rushing yards, but a bulk of those came off a 65-yard rushing score in garbage time in the fourth quarter.Overall, Baltimore compiled just 227 total yards with three turnovers. The Ravens never had an attempt inside the 20-yard line and were 4-of-14 on third downs.Fagnano’s time as a starter is also seemingly about to end, with the Ravens acquiring veteran Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals. The Ravens lost Lamar Jackson and chief backup Tyler Huntley to injury, leaving them with the decision to give Fagnano the keys to the offense on the field, as they await for the Brissett trade to get finalized.Related: Ravens RB Derrick Henry instantly shuts down trade noise after Jaguars routRelated: Ravens’ Mark Andrews is completely unfazed after getting booed by home fans
