​Tennessee (2-0) defeated Coppin State (1-1), 98-60, Thursday at Physical Education Center in Baltimore Maryland.Thursday marked the Lady Vols’ first road game of the 2026-27 basketball season. Tennessee scored 12 points in the first quarter.Kaylene Smikle scored 18 points to lead the Lady Vols. Kennedy Fauntleroy and Gabby Minus scored 12 points each, while Aaliyah Moore totaled 11 points for Tennessee.Minus had a double-double, totaling 11 rebounds. She also recorded three steals, two assists and one block.Fatmata Janneh was the Lady Vols’ leading rebounder (13), including four offensive rebounds and nine defensive rebounds. Naomi White recorded four rebounds for Tennessee.Fauntleroy led Tennessee with seven assists. Jada Eads recorded three assists, while Janneh, Moore and Smikle recorded two steals each.The Lady Vols had four blocks against the Eagles.
