​The Atlanta Falcons won’t have their usual two-headed monster at running back when they face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday in Madrid, Spain. Brian Robinson Jr. has been ruled out for the third consecutive game due to a hamstring injury.Robinson practiced all three days this week as a limited participant, and while he was initially listed as questionable, the team has since ruled the veteran running back out for Week 9. Robinson has rushed for 211 yards and four touchdowns in six games this season. With Atlanta’s No. 2 running back sidelined again, look for the team to elevate Khalil Herbert from the practice squad. Herbert, who replaced Robinson in the lineup the last two weeks, is eligible for one more practice squad elevation before the team must sign him to the 53-man roster. The Falcons made another change to their initial Friday injury report, adding edge rusher James Pearce as a limited participant. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said he would know more about Pearce in 24-48 hours. The Falcons could certainly use Pearce against an explosive Bengals offense this weekend. Quarterback Joe Burrow has been on a tear and Cincinnati’s defense is much improved. Atlanta will need to do a better job protecting quarterback Michael Penix Jr.As for Penix, he needs to take better care of the football following his four-turnover game in Week 8.
